Important long-term dates to remember for this nine-week period:

*Book Report AR test due September 15th (Newbery Honor/Medal/Award) for all classes*Citizenship Essay due August 31st for Tigers, Bulldogs, and Gators *AR quiz due October 1st (6.0+) reading level for Tigers, Bulldogs, and Gators. Vols have a required AR reading level of (5.0+)*Poem recitation on 9/11 for all classes.

Assignments due this week for Tigers, Bulldogs, and Gators: *Parody is due on Wednesday, 8/26*New enriched vocabulary list given on Wednesday and charts provided for those words. The charts will be due the following Wednesday, 9/2.

Week of August 17th

Curriculum Night is Tuesday night, August 18th! Go directly to your child’s homeroom class at 6:00. You will be given a copy of your child’s schedule, and you will follow that schedule for the evening.

Tigers, Bulldogs, and Gators only: Flip chart on abjure list is due on Thursday, 8/20. *Abjure list quiz on Thursday, 8/20. Creative writing assignment will be given on Wednesday, 8/19, with a due date of Wednesday, 8/26.
